We certainly get some interesting jobs.

Horizon Construction commissioned us to recreate the iconic “Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co Ltd Works” sign on a building project they were working on at the original site of the Marconi factory in Chelmsford.

All we had to work from was a copy of an original photo taken circa 1900 of the building – we had to recreate the lettering on the curved wall of the building (the original lettering had long since been removed).

We love jobs like this. Recreating an iconic, historic sign such as this is very rewarding – even if we had to climb a tall scaffold again!

Let’s hope our copy of this sign will still be there in years to come for everyone to enjoy.
