This is a speciality of Butler dSigns, we have developed our skills for over 40 years and our craftsmen take great pride in restoring an old sign back to its original fine form, to be appreciated for many more years to come.

Just send us an image of the sign you want to refurbish or restore, and we will get back to with an appraisal and advise you if refurbishment is possible.

When we refurbish a sign, we start by taking lots of photos of the sign for reference purposes and trace off any signage details and take colour samples. We can repair any minor damage, replace any rotten timbers with new, matching mouldings or mill new to existing style. Only then do we start to repaint and signwrite. During all of this process, we will liaise closely with you, and catalogue all our work for your reference.

There is nothing more satisfying for us, than putting life back into an old sign and seeing it back to its former glory.

For more details on this type of restoration work, please see our case study blogs on Westminster City Hall and The College Road Toll Gate.
